BLAM (Black Learning Achievement and Mental Health) is committed to improving the wellbeing and self-esteem of people of African Decent. They work to unify and strengthen the links with the Black diaspora in the UK and worldwide. They do this by offering Black history Lessons focused on Pre-colonial Africa and traditional Afro- Caribbean centred history and philosophy. These lessons are delivered at at schools, community groups, and after-school clubs, to tackle lower educational attainment, and ensure history is taught to empower pupils of African and Afro- Caribbean descent.
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours over 2 months
BLAM would like to set up a best practice approach to measuring and reporting on their educational projects, including the Rooted Project, in a way that funders will understand. Reporting on the outcomes and impacts of their initiatives will support ongoing funding bids and ensure their projects have longevity.
We are looking for someone with evaluation and grant writing experience who understands how best to set up qualitative and quantitative measures for programmes, and report on outcomes and impact.
